“Where Mountains Meet the Sea – Discover the Untouched Beauty and Ancient Wonders of Pakistan’s Makran Coast.”
Balochistan is one of Pakistan’s last tourism frontiers. With a rich history spanning to 5,000 BC at Mehrgarh, to the return of Alexander the Great’s Army along to Arabian Coast in 325 BC, and the British Raj era in the 1850’s where a wonderful railway was built, this is a fascinating province. Our tour will concentrate on the wonderful Makran coast, with its pristine beaches and nature parks.
The Week End to Kund Malir and Ormara offers an extraordinary journey along one of Pakistan’s most spectacular yet least explored regions—the Makran Coast of Balochistan. This tour combines pristine beaches, dramatic coastal landscapes, ancient history, and remarkable geological wonders, providing travellers with a unique experience far removed from conventional tourist destinations.
Balochistan is often described as Pakistan’s final tourism frontier. The region’s history stretches back over 7,000 years, from the ancient settlements of Mehrgarh to the legendary march of Alexander the Great’s army along the Arabian Sea coast in 325 BC. Today, its rugged mountains, untouched beaches, and vast desert landscapes remain among the country’s most unspoiled natural treasures.
The journey along the Makran Coastal Highway is itself one of the highlights of the tour. Considered one of Pakistan’s most scenic roads, it winds through dramatic cliffs, hidden bays, and sweeping views of the Arabian Sea. At Kund Malir, visitors can relax on the magnificent Golden Beach and experience breathtaking sunsets and remarkably clear night skies illuminated by countless stars.
The exploration of Hingol National Park reveals an astonishing landscape of mud volcanoes, rock formations, and unique geological phenomena, including the famous Princess of Hope and Balochistan Sphinx. The visit to Hinglaj Mandir, one of South Asia’s most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites, adds cultural and spiritual significance to the journey.
The tour concludes in the peaceful coastal town of Ormara, known for its pristine beaches and marine life, including seasonal sea turtle nesting grounds. Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, adventure seekers, and travellers seeking unexplored destinations, this weekend escape showcases the extraordinary beauty and diversity of Pakistan’s Arabian coast.

After a late lunch we will begin our visit of Hingol National Park, where the entire landscape is covered with gorges and mountains of mud and rock. Here we will visit the Princes of Hope, and the Balochistan Sphinx, also known as the "Lion of Balochistan" natural rock formations, and some Mud Volcanos. After visiting these natural wonders return to Kund Malir, and enjoy a bonfire by the sea and enjoying the stunning astral landscape with thousands of stars visible to the naked eye. Overnight at basic beach hut.
After checking out, we will continue our exploration of the Hingol National Park and visit Hinglaj Mandir, an ancient Hindu Temple. The Temple is in a small natural cave with a low mud altar. There is no man-made image of the Goddess but a small divine form appearing in the rock is worshipped. We will then continue on to Ormara, and check in to the basic beach huts. Enjoy the sea and if possible, visit “Turtle Beach”, so named because of the hundreds of sea turtles that are hatched there during the season. Overnight Ormara basic beach huts.
